About This Blog

Hi! I’m Christine Dente and I am:

a frustrated idealist, trying to shape the world into my image

a grateful realist, learning to accept the world as it is

a daily wrestler with the things of faith

a lifetime partaker of the things of grace

I started this blog because:

  • I am in pursuit of A MEANINGFUL LIFE
  • I‘ve got issues with FAITH, FEAR, and FREEDOM
  • I have learned to WRITE MY OWN MEDICINE
  • I want to encourage others to FIND LIFE IN THE BIGGER STORY

What is the bigger story? That’s the mystery, the big picture meaning that we’re searching for!

If you are like me, you look for meaning in your everyday struggles.

If you are like me, you wrestle with God for ANSWERS, for RELIEF, for HELP and for HOPE.

If you are like me, you get Sad and Mad and not enough Glad.

Most of all, you don’t give up. No matter that you’re bruised and tired and confused.

Like me, you are determined to keep on the road, to stay the course.

I offer this site as a rest stop, a pull-off to relax and reflect on what this trip is all about anyway.

If you need encouragement on your journey towards a meaningful life, this page is your place to visit.
Stop in and rest, grab a cup of coffee, and I’ll give you some fuel for the next leg of your trek.

I believe there’s a bigger story in which we get to play a part.
I believe God is alive and active in the world and in our lives.
I believe He cares about us and about what we feel and think and say and do.

In spite of some numbness, confusion, silences, and suffering, I find JOY and HOPE under rocks and around the bend. That’s what I write about.

If you are like me, you keep on walking despite your internal and external obstacles.

If you are like me, you keep unfolding and scanning maps, though you’d be more comfortable checking off a to-do list.

If you are like me, then let’s get on with this business of living and Finding Life in the Bigger Story.
